Once the student has progressed and shows some motivation to be slightly challenged, I'll introduce "popular" music so that the student feels a sense of accomplishment! I've been playing the guitar and singing since I was 12, so after 4 years of experience and a lot of practice it was suggested that I should also teach others what I've learned. I started as a volunteer teacher in a clinic, to then teach in the student's own house and charging for it.
