Tommy S. currently holds a master's degree in clarinet performance from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Mr. Charles Neidich. Tommy also holds his bachelor's degree from Illinois State University, where he studied with Dr. David Gresham. I will base my teaching material and instructions methods off of this consultation and tune specifically to each student. I first started teaching piano and flute/piccolo back when I was in high school. When I started, I mainly focused on helping my fellow students prepare for performances and competitions. When I was in college, I was offered a temporary teaching position to teach piano at Allegro Music Academy (Lemont, IL) and I was able to work with children of all ages and playing levels. While in this position, Anthony performed in Concert Band, French Woods Symphony, and in up to 12 musicals per summer. During that time, he also taught multiple private lessons and sectionals to campers on a variety of woodwind instruments. In 2012, Anthony was invited to join the “Phantom of the Opera” International Tour for their run in Jakarta, Indonesia. Following the successful run of the show, he returned to the United States and joined Northern Stage in White River Junction, Vermont for both of their main stage musicals of the 2012-2013 season.
