I have been professionally playing drums for almost 15 years and teaching professionally for 10. I have toured the country opening up for major label bands and artists. I have played drums for numerous bands and artists including Grammy winning and nominated artists for Audiomack's Trap Symphony. For a beginning student on guitar, I have them learning notes from a Hal Leonard, Mel Bay, or Alfred starter book. All these books are great, but I believe it depends on the individual student and how they learn. I also teach tab to beginners. I feel it is important to read tabs these days as well as notes. I also work with music theory. It is also important to know what you are doing, not just putting your fingers on the strings. Read More

My methods vary depending on student age, ability and goals with the instrument. I believe no everybody learn the same way so I adapt to find the best, most efficient and fun path to teach my students. For Children I like to emphasize the importance of the fundamentals and technique through fun exercises and simple tunes they can play along to. I like to keep a weekly log in a notebook the student takes home or keeps. I have many books ranging from beginner to advance, for drums, percussion, and piano. Also beginner bass and guitar books. Technique, book work, and song work is how I prefer to split my lesson time. Breaking habits before they become bad ones! Upon graduating the Conservatory in the spring of 2014 I remained in the greater Boston area until the summer of 2018, during which time I both remained active in the creative music scene as a performer and became busy working and teaching.
