I’ve performed with churches, college Rock and Jazz ensembles, and recorded for several local groups. I enjoy Jazz, Latin, and World music. My philosophy for quality music education has three main parts: appreciation, practice, literacy. I braid all three of these parts into each lesson, with a student focused approach. I strongly believe that anyone at any age and abilities can learn enjoy making music. Hello! My name is Amanda, and I am 28! I am a multi instrumentalist: I play drums, percussion, guitar, and piano. But, for teaching my love is for drum set and percussion! Practice, of course, is important to learning any skill. But if a love of the instrument is there, practicing shouldn't be too much of a chore. I try to never give my students too much material at once, so as to frustrate them to the point of not wanting to play anymore. Corey has taught and directed music and theatre for youth for over 15 years. Corey was born and raised in southern Oregon where he spent his youth performing live music and theatre on stages like the Ross Ragland Theatre, The Linkville Playhouse, Oregon Stage Works, and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. He has been playing the guitar and drums, as well as acting and directing, since he was 12 years old. As a teenager he created Klamath Teen Theatre in Klamath Falls, Oregon and was also guest teaching after-school programs for local elementary and middle schools. Read More
