My goal with all students is that they enjoy learning, become self-motivated to practice, and consider their musical abilities as a gift which they can choose to share with others whenever they feel comfortable to do so. My teaching experience began around 2012 when I taught some of my teacher's students while she was out of town for the summer. Throughout college and graduate school, I maintained a small studio of a handful of students. After graduating in 2016, I began to grow my private studio as well as working with music schools throughout Denver, including Denver Public Schools, and Douglas County Schools. Currently, I am studying at the University of Colorado Boulder with Professor David Requiro to receive my Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance. I have taught several students while I was studying music. I won the third place of the Taipei City Competition of Music among many outstanding competitors in 2015. On the other hand, I strived for the chance of participating in many performances. In 2014, I performed Edward Elgar's Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85 with the local orchestra in Hualien. In 2017, I played Prokofiev’s Sinfonia-Concertante, Op.125 at my recital at Soochow University, which was praised by my teachers and the audiences. Read More

I attribute development of my teaching method to having started as young as I did; it is my firm belief that students and teachers should learn together, and that, especially with younger students, that it should be fun, engaging, and even a little bit silly at times. I both encourage and require regular practice on a consistent schedule; practicing not only helps students further their progress, but it helps them to avoid burnout by maintaining a view of music as less of a chore and more of a fun activity.
