Voice- Depending on how long the lesson is we work on vocal warmups then work on a song. In a 30 min lesson we do vocal warmups for 10 minutes then work on a song fir 20 minutes.Learning the proper vocal technique. I teach different methods of breathing, including low costal breathing and we focus on posture, sound placement, among many other fun skills. For beginning Clarinet lessons I start with the basics and fundamentals from assembling and disassembling the instrument along with proper cleaning, Storage and proper placement of fingers for playing and basic breathing techniques. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students get really excited about reaching their goals. I consistently encourage students by giving them positive feedback about the progress they are making. I also help them push themselves to become better singers by being an inspiration and a mentor for them throughout their journey. I do feel that music is a journey, not a destination.
