Every student is assigned music.  Beginning students often start in lesson books.  I use the Bastien book series for my youngest students, Alfred books for ages 6-11, and Bastien Books for students older.  As students grow and become more advanced I also assign solo pieces from other sources to supplement a students progress.  I tailor every lesson to fit a students particular strengths and weaknesses and no two lessons are ever the same.  For all levels I try to make the lessons fun and interesting. I taylor each lesson to the individual students. But usually I give students the opportunity to find what they love and encourage them to explore that, expanding their understanding as they go. I am an experienced teacher, performer, and coach for all types of vocal music. In May 2015, I completed my Masters of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music. I have experience performing both operatic and musical theater roles; recently, I have been performing as a concert soloist with orchestras around the Denver area. What kinds of music do they want to play, and why? (For instance: for fun; accompanying themselves singing; performing in front of people; becoming professional.)
