My method is simple. During our first lesson, we dive into any and everything that is important to you regarding music. Once we have a solid foundation of influences / skill level / goals, we can begin outlining a lesson plan together for the duration of your music lessons with me. Our lessons will be conversational - our ideas will bounce off of each other. I will never tell you what to do - I will only tell you what methods will and wont work. I have started students as young as four, usually in a pre-school group setting, using Kindermusic and other programs. Formalpianoor keyboard lessons usuallybegin at age 5, there are several great methods available for the young beginner. I choose from several diffenent methods to best suit the age, learning style, and interests of the student. I ask them to bring any materials they have and will often recommend books and supplemental material I have had success with.
