I began assisting teachers during high school for extra credit. It later became my job during Full Sail. I worked extensively with grades K-5 on reading, writing and math skills enrichment. My teaching style starts with really trying to understand the student that I am teaching, when I can do that, it makes the whole process of teaching easier. For example, in my experience, something that works for some students, really wont work for others, and if I can identify why something isnt working for a student, I can give them the right tools to fix it. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument.
