During the fall I also have been a low brass technician for a local marching band. Finally I have played in many pit performances for local high schools. My approach is always to make music first. Yes I like to teach how to play "correctly" and all the "right" notes, but at the end of the day there is something bigger to take from music. During this time I was an active trumpet player in south Florida playing with orchestras, brass bands, jazz groups, and quite regularly latin bands due to the popularity of salsa/latin styles in that region.
