For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Bastien Piano Method and Faber Piano Adventures. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for them, which always includes a variety of genres in different time periods. For transferred students, I can always adjust my teaching methods based on student's needs. With thses methods I cnan engage the student with the music while they use their mind and body to learn the basics of music.
