I am a graduate of the Edna Manley College of the Performing Arts where I studied Music Education. I also have a diploma in Piano Performance and Teaching from the Royal College of Music. I have been an instrumental instructor for the past 25 years, and enjoy sharing the joys of music with learners. I believe that learning to play an instrument should be an enjoyable experience. The three main methods I find to be extremely important are the Arban book, and the Clarke technical and characteristic studies. In addition, I've found equally important the Earl Irons long tone and flexibility exercises. I like to find out what the student is most interested in a tailor the practice regiment accordingly.
