I began assisting teachers during high school for extra credit. It later became my job during Full Sail. I worked extensively with grades K-5 on reading, writing and math skills enrichment. As the student progresses I begin introducing them to solo repertoire, scales studies, and jazz improvisation. My approach is much different with adult students. I ask them what are their musical goals and from there I can create a curriculum based on adult students needs and wants. I love playing the flute and being able to share my passion with others. I earned my BM in 2007 from Florida State University. There were so many wonderful playing opportunities here and as an undergraduate I was playing in the top orchestra. I was also a member of the world renown Marching CHIEFS where I served as section leader to 50 plus flute players. One of the more unique ensembles I played in was the Andean music ensemble, Aconcagua, where I played the zampona (panpipes) and the quena (Andean flute). Read More
