My teaching experience goes back to my first teaching studio at Music World in Lancaster PA in 1987. A few years later in 1992, I got married [still am!!]. I started my home studio and have had an amazing studio since!! It is sound proof with all ammenities, a waiting room, and technology, which I use often as a part of my lessons! I have found in my many years of teaching that it is better to give the basic foundations of music and to teach the students the music they want to learn versuses boring them with music they dislike. I have 3 years of teaching experience, beginning when I was in college. I highly encourage regular practice because it gets the student comfortable with the fundamentals of their instrument. Eventually, this will allow creative freedom for them as they progress with their studies. I want my students to feel confident about their progress and abilities, so I encourage them to play with other musicians.
