I was a member of the University of Sonora choir for more than 4 years, always leading the tenor chords, helping them to achieve musicality and hearing all kinds of voices. I helped them with the piano to sing different voice melodies in different languages. When I graduated, I started to take private students, helping them with breathing and music lines. When teaching strings to beginners I tend to teach out of a string methods book but I also offer stylistic direction outside of the book. I find this method helps the student with dependency of string books and helps to harbor curiosity to the vast world of music and methods beyond one book. I am an honest and reliable music professional who loves classical music, folk songs, and musical theater. I participated in a youth musical theater company for nine years in my youth. I performed with a traveling show choir for five years at dozens of public festivals and events and we even performed at Disney! I advanced into several All State honor choirs throughout grade school. I began teaching in 2001. I teach voice, piano, and didgeridoo. I have performed at multiple locations locally including the Broward Performing Arts Center and the Lincoln theater. I have taught college Theory classes and Music Appreciation classes and have my MA in music history and literature.
