Teaching has always been part of my growth through various stages in my career. Through out high school I have coached and taught at various churches by strengthening their worship teams as well as several middle school singers at my home studio that were preparing for their Region auditions along with their solo and ensemble competitions. I enjoy watching younger generations fall in love with the art of music and continuously reach out to expand their talent and strengthen their craft. Read More

Because I believe every student is unique, my teaching style depends on what is best for the student. Some students are kinesthetic learners who benefit most from using gesture, movement, and doing things hands-on, while others are aural learners who can pick music up by ear, but may struggle with reading music. This greatly influences how I go about planning and teaching lessons for each student. Their personality, interests, goals, and background experience also influence how I teach them. Read More

There is nothing more rewarding than working for a goal and accomplishing it. I like finding music that my student wants to learn and making a music theory lesson that compliments the instrument lesson. I would ideally like my job with my students to be temporary. What I mean by that is to fill them up with all the knowledge and skills that they will be able to pick up their instrument(s) and sight read a piece or learn a piece without my help. Read More

I despise force-feeding techniques and information to my students. In the processing of learning, I try my utter best to make sure my students understand what I teach to them. It will facilitate tremendously if the student understands the technique when he/she is practicing. I always set clear goals for each lesson so that there is a consistent progress. However, my lessons are not boring but full of energy. Read More
