I try to motivate them by doing recitals and presentations so that they learn the discipline and constancy that involves learning to play an instrument, I try to teach technique together with repertoire from beginner to advanced level in violin and viola, and from beginner to intermediate level in piano, guitar and cello, I am patient but demanding at the same time and according to how my students are progressing. I have been teaching music for the past 25 years. First in the Public Schools in Tennessee and Florida and at the college level. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument.
