I first discovered my love of teaching in college, more than 10 years ago. Since then, I have made it my mission to make learning informative, engaging, and fun. It is important to encourage regular and consistent practice time during the week in between lessons so we can use our lesson time most productively and make your learning experience more enjoyable. Everything depends on what instrument the student is learning. For violin, viola, and cello lessons I typically use a few different method books and handout sheets for the first few lessons, and then switch to using Suzuki books once the basic concepts have been mastered. I am a senior at Northwestern pursuing my Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance and I’ll be headed to Boston in the fall to start my Masters of Music at the New England Conservatory. My love for music has taken me all over the world with performances across the country as well as in several European cities.
