In 2017, I graduated form the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Studies with a focus in Trombone Performance. For beginning students, I focus on the very first fundamentals of playing trombone and music which consists of simple music theory and fundamental technique of playing the trombone. Once those fundamentals are introduced and the students shows progression, I will assign etudes and solo repertoire to help improve on musicality and technique. My trumpet students have placed first in both regional and state competitions performing in both small and large ensembles. The wind ensembles I conducted also have participated in WASBE Conference, Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival, WMC Kerkrade, and Midwest Clinic. Joe just finished playing 2nd trumpet in The National Broadway Tour of Woody Allen’s “Bullets Over Broadway”. The show had its long run from October 2015 to July 2016 with performances all over the country. I have been teaching trumpet lessons for a decade, to students of all ages, and I also now teach beginning piano and trombone. I have also served as a Teaching Assistant in the Harvard Music Department.
