I started playing the violin when I was 7 years old after my mother’s passing. It was my outlet, and has continued to be my creative outlet for expressing myself in a positive light. I have extensive orchestral experience including The Bolshoi Theater, Moscow central Philharmonic Orchestra, Russian Philharmonic, and San Luis Potosi symphony orchestra. I lived and taught in Mexico for 4 years while playing as assistant principal second violin at San Luis Potosi symphony orchestra in Mexico. Currently I play with many symphony orchestras in Indiana, Nebraska and Texas on a permanent basis. I teach privately and enjoy having students with different levels from all over the world. My top priority in teaching violin is for my students to develop a love for music. This includes tailoring my teaching style dependent on the student's learning style. Typically, I like to begin my lessons with developing musical foundations (which includes scales, rhythm, and different bow and finger exercises). Then, I choose a piece that challenges the student in some artistic capacity. I took on my first students when i was still in high school and have been teaching ever since. I have had several studios throughout the years in different places that I have lived. I enjoy teaching different styles of music and encouraging my students to listen to and try playing new things. I like to keep things fun and entertaining.
