I started playing the violin when I was 7 years old after my mother’s passing. It was my outlet, and has continued to be my creative outlet for expressing myself in a positive light. I graduated from Jacobs school of music at IU in 2018 as a Performer diploma student in violin performance studying with Austin Hartman, a member of the Pacifica Quartet. I came to Bloomington a year ago and previously received my Master in music at Nebraska University at Glenn Korff school of music. Apart from this, I am a holder of Bachelor degree in violin performance and teaching, as well as orchestra and chamber player from Ippolitov-Ivanov Institute of Music in Moscow, Russia. Read More

I teach the fundamentals of the violin (for beginners) out of the Hal Leonard Essential Elements book series. For solo pieces and scales (for students who have had a year or so of instruction), I teach out of the Suzuki Method books. For more advanced students, I use technique books such as Wolfhart and Sevcik to develop bow and finger control. Additional books I use for choosing repertoire for students include Barber's Solos for Young Violinists and various concerti depending on the student's ability level. Read More

I have always loved teaching music. I think that it is a very important aspect of being a musician. I feel the need to pass on everything that I have learned. I started studying classical music and shortly after beginning, started to branch out into other styles. Over the years, I have studied, country, Irish, and Cajun fiddling, Jazz, Rock, Improv, and kept up with my classical studies.
