My experience teaching dates back to the beginning of my college career in 2014. A majority of my students have ranged from brand new players to an intermediate level, but I am willing and enthusiastic about teaching players of all levels! I understand how tiresome it can be to only work on etudes and exercises, so as long as they're putting in the work on these, I like to add something a little more fun to keep them going. Like a parent sneakily hiding vegetables in their kid's food, I like to focus on technique in pieces of music that are designed to be fun. Depending on the students level, I will focus on a certain range of scales to build strength. The first few lessons are spent learning about one another and giving/getting feedback on what the student liked or didn't like. This is very important to me, as I want to establish long-standing musicians! I also try to establish a vocal goal each month. When it comes to playing the violin, the automaticism of such motions as in what is required to efficiently and effortlessly master one’s craft begins with the simplicity of a regimented practice pattern and structured rhythmic pattern done everyday. This must be cradled by a safety net of inner Development. Without developing the Heart one cannot develop the craft. I find a deep relationship between Meditation practice and Classical music intermindlged with Jungian psychology that I feel attuned to at the heart of the insular development of potential individuation that can propel one forward into the depths of the ecstasy of life that is pungent and honest. It is always a pleasure to see my students develop their skills and deeper interest in music. I believe that everyone can perform starting with simple solo pieces of 2-5 minutes long. This experience is rewarding for self development and artistic growth. I remember always playing for my classmates in high school and enjoying it a lot.
