Depending on the students level, I will focus on a certain range of scales to build strength. The first few lessons are spent learning about one another and giving/getting feedback on what the student liked or didn't like. This is very important to me, as I want to establish long-standing musicians! I also try to establish a vocal goal each month. A majority of my students have ranged from brand new players to an intermediate level, but I am willing and enthusiastic about teaching players of all levels! Additionally, I have taught a diverse age range; from 4 years olds to adults. Depending on a student, I use different approach in repertoire and technique.I try to see what student needs and what he or she is interested in , then I adjust my teaching technique. If someone is having challenges with left or right hand , holding the bow or any other technique, I do my best to help student and don't move forward till problem is resolved.
