My style is light and cheery - I make the kids feel important and I acknowledge their progress regularly. I am not a knuckle-rapping teacher. Discipline comes naturally out of a love of learning and I notice when they are practicing and let them know and that induces more and continuous practicing. I don't guilt-trip them if they don't - I use a "try to do more or better this week" approach if they have a low practice amount last week! Read More
