I teach always. I teach by example, and I teach formally. My formal teaching background begins in church when I was 19. I did my mom a favor and started teaching/leading the children's choir. As a drummer that has played in all kinds of styles and venues, I can teach any skill level from the first time picking up sticks to making good drummers great and great drummers legendary. Using my experience as a school band director (4 years), I am also able to teach concert band instruments (trumpet, flute, trombone, etc.) as well as Jazz ensemble instruments (drum set, electric bass). There is always new material coming out and I will also write my own technical exercises if the student needs them.
