Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. With an appropriate printed resource, and audio recordings to listen to, they are equipped with the materials for self-study from the start. During the lesson itself, the student would be singing or playing at least half of the time. During this current stay-at-home lifestyle, I propose having lessons over Zoom. I started teaching voice part-time in college, and once I graduated took on a full time position teaching privately in my home studio, student’s homes, and in schools in Round Rock. Implementing the motivation and lesson plan to practice regularly is an important skill that can be learned while still having fun. I provide students the tools to help overcome stage fright, gain confidence, integrate performance technique, and feel better about singing while learning their favorite music! For intermediate students as well, these concepts are essential to development as an improviser.
