I enjoyed growing up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and had the privilege of starting piano lessons when I was seven years old and violin lessons when I was nine. I continued my study of both instruments through high school and into college where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Pedagogy. I completed a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance, May 2017; and, am currently pursuing a second Masters degree in Accompanying at Florida State University where I am an opera accompanist. Overall, I have been teaching for over 12 years. I have experience teaching chamber ensembles, orchestra, technique classes, and preparing students all over for auditions and state competitions. For single lessons, I perform an inventory of skills, supplementary lesson, and assessment for an improvement plan. I select technique and training material in conjunction with any programs in which the student is currently participating (i.e. school band programs, other instruction, etc.).
