Since I was inspired to play piano by ear after hearing a Mozart piano sonata when I was five, my love of music brought me to many places performing professionaly, whether it's a Dvorak trio, a big band standard, or a Daft Punk cover.  I began my formal training at the Cleveland Institute of Music for eleven years, while also studying violin, percussion, trumpet, and composing along the way.  Beginning by performing as a freelance accompanist, church organist, and teaching piano at Baldwin - Wallace College, I've gone on to play at the University of Connecticut Chamber Music Festival in 2009, and earned my Master's in piano performance in 2010. I teach children as young as 6, and adults well into retirement. I first assess the student's musical goals, then tailor the teaching method to achieve those goals. Some students want to just have fun, some want to learn "hum and strum", while others want to prepare for competitions or perfomances or go on to become professional musicians. Outside of school, he has performed in the River Cities Jazz Ensemble, Tommy Money Big Band, Huntington Outdoor Theater, Big Planet Soul, and with many other groups and ensembles. I have been awarded diplomas in piano performance and accompaniment from Trinity College London and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and did my Bachelor of Arts in Music (Piano Performance and Musicology) at the College of Charleston, SC, where I graduated summa cum laude.
