I have a variety of methods that I use to teach students.  I have used many Hal Leonard's band and guitar books, I use a wide variety of materials so that the students can achieve their goals. There is always new material coming out and I will also write my own technical exercises if the student needs them. My students are encouraged to perform at recitals, enter competitions, compose their own material, and listen to other music they are interested in playing, that way they stay motivated to learn.
