Because I accept children as young as 3, my methods vary quite drastically. I also work with children who have learning disabilities, so I like to cater my lessons to the needs of the student. Frequently playing with my siblings in piano trios deepened my appreciation for ensemble music. Even in elementary school my sisters and I would hold family concerts from which the proceeds would be donated to orphanages. Some of these concerts were featured by local television. These benefit performances continued in college where I would perform with my sisters for the children at House of Hope, an orphanage in Korea and continued to Charity Concert at Blair House Senior Independent Living Community IL. The third portion is prepared materials, and the final portion is listening. I bring an Ipod with close to 750,000 songs on it for kids to choose pieces featuring their own instruments for inspirational purposes.
