In 2020 I quit my full-time security job in San Francisco to start my own virtual music academy from home. Since, I have been teaching 20-40 students a week how to play their favorite songs on piano, bass, ukulele, guitar, drums, GarageBand and Logic Pro X. I hosted a 2021 Virtual Zoom Recital where students participated by sending in video clips of themselves performing their songs. As of now, I have a business degree with an emphasis on entertainment and hospitality and have been playing guitar professionally for 15 years and bass guitar for 12 years. Some of the things I do professionally range from studio production/recording sessions to live performances (either with my own band or other peoples' groups or bands) and touring. I also create custom lesson plans tailored to each students progress and interests. For children, I incorporate games and familiar tunes to maintain engagement while reinforcing fundamentals.
