With typical and non-typically developing students, adaptive lessons are possible with the use of larger picks or adaptive instruments. My methodology is somewhat rare, in that I don't have a standardized set of books or resources that I require. I typically focus on fundamentals of musicianship -scales, chords, etc.- as a main focus. as for repertoire, I tend to gravitate to the great American song book/ other Jazz Standards. Because of this, I tailor every lesson to fit the individual by focusing on areas that need improvement and refining areas that are proficient.
