I attended Youngstown State University and Anderson University studying music education and business. I have been both a general music and a band teacher, working with students in Preschool through Eighth Grade. After moving to North Carolina she started a Baums Music school, were she teach piano to the class of 50 students. Her students knowledge evaluated through local and state festivals and competitions. Mayas students have won many prizes and rewords at the different levels. Maya was elected as a president of Raleigh Music Club and continues teaching out of a private home studio.
