I have been playing the guitar for nearly 20 years, and have been performing live regularly for the past 10 years both as a solo acoustic act and as a member of various bands. I primarily perform my own compositions and am deeply passionate about the art of songwriting. My teaching experience dates back to my early 20s where I began teaching private guitar lessons part time while completing my college degree. This is something I'm extremely passionate about as an adult and would love to continue this journey. My main experience is with guitar but can also teach bass guitar, song writing (in real time or through a DAW), and synthesizer work (through a DAW). Positive reinforcement is everything! While there will always be room for improvement and growth, it is crucial to acknowledge successes throughout each lesson. Learning a new instrument requires patience, practice, and determination, and reinforcers can be a huge motivator (I know they were for me when I was learning).
