I have been teaching students since my sophomore year of high school, 3 years ago. I taught both beginner piano lessons and flute lessons of all levels. I encourage my students to keep a practice journal with their practice schedule, daily practice logs, long term and short term goals, lessons from notes, and anything else that can be useful for improvement. I grew up singing in church and school choirs and playing in my school band. I continued in High School in the Band, Jazz Band, Choir and Show Choir. In college I pursued a duel degree in Counseling and Music. My music degree included Music History, Performance, Theory, and Conducting. I performed in the band as First Chair Flute and in the Chorale, Chamber Choir and Chapel Choir.
