I'm a educator, performer and band leader graduated with honor at New England Conservatory, Boston MA, 2013 and Suma Cum Laude Berklee College Of Music, Boston, MA, 2011 My career is divided in two paths, teaching and performing professionally since 2004. My teaching experience began when I was in college. I taught trombone and euphonium private lessons for several years in the school district that I attended when I was a student. Additionally, I also have done All State Masterclasses for the TMEA trombone etudes. Encouraging regular practice, building the life-long skill of discipline, and hard work are key skills that I enjoy getting to emphasize to my students, as it has a tendency to build student progression and ultimately gain a passion for learning the instrument. I am a passionate and motivated flute instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love for flute. In, 2016 I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Flute performance. I have had the pleasure to perform as a freelancer in Boston MA, as a session musician playing for film, television, and video games. For beginners, I use Rebecca Simonfalvi's called "Potential Contender." It is geared for young children starting out in band. For adults, I generally move between Trevor Wye's "Beginners book for the flute" or the Rubank Elementary Method. If needed, especially with the young, I generally have my students take notes of lessons. I also teach basic theory to give students a deeper understanding of the music. For the advanced student, the focus becomes about fine-tuning fundamentals, and learning repertoire that will propel them forward to the next level. Read More

My teaching experience ranges from new beginners to advancing high school students, and I am also willing to take on novice-to-intermediate adult students.
