I have worked with high school students and middle school students and find it rewarding to see them grow and progress into better musicians. I have enjoyed finding ways to keep my students motivated and wanting to come back and pursue their talent that they can spread with the world. Hello and welcome, my name is Evan, and I am so happy that you chose to look at my profile. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Syracuse University in 1998. I minored in the Music Industry and performed with the Marching Band, Basketball Pep Band, co-founded a lacrosse band, and became a Brother of Kappa Kappa Psi, the National Honorary Band Fraternity. I received both a Masters and a Law Degree from Syracuse in 2002, but never stopped playing, and have been given the nickname of "The Human Jukebox" since I can recognize and perform nearly any song I have ever heard. Before attending the University of North Texas I was a band director, jazz band director, chorus director, free lance performer and cruise ship musician. In New York the band directors instruct all instruments in group lessons so I am familiar with technique, tone, tuning, fingerings etc...for all band instruments. My teaching and performing specialty is woodwinds, namely saxophone, flute and clarinet in both classical and jazz genres.
