Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

For beginning students who are children, I always start with the basics of reading music. For piano, I make sure they build the skill sets in their fingers and are able to find the notes as they play them. The same concept goes for ukelele. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, they can then be introduced to solo repertoire. For adults, I try to find what the student is interested and guide instruction accordingly to keep them interested and engaged, no matter their ability level. Read More

My number 1 goal as an instructor is to assess the needs and goals of the student, and to assist the student in reaching these goals while fostering a fun environment. Nothing is more important than finding your own personal passion, and making sure that your pursuit of your goals remains an enjoyable process. I began teaching lessons in college. Most of my early students were elementary-school aged and novice. There, I learned that regular practice must be encouraged to allow interest to begin to pique and passion begin to form. Hi! I've had a love for music since I was very young. I started playing piano at eight years old, violin at eleven years old, guitar at around the age of seventeen, and have been singing ever since I could produce the sound, taking private vocal lessons in high school and college. I am classically trained in piano, violin, and voice, though I now play mostly Christian contemporary/worship, pop, country, and indie/singer-songwriter/folk music on all four of my instruments. My teaching experience goes back to my high school days. After I learned how to play guitar and played in a few bands, I knew that persuading a career in music was my passion. I taught a few students at my home and after high school attended Southern Union where I graduated with an associate in arts degree.
