I began teaching privately in 2006 after I graduated from college. I began teaching in my church in New York, to beginner students between the ages of 8 and 15. I continued teaching until 2010, when I began my Master's Degree. I found that by finding out similar interests between myself and the students outside of classical music made it enjoyable for them. I have had a passion since I was 6 years old for music, I recieved B.S in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Central Michigan University and an Associates in Dance from University of Michigan. During which times I also performed with Flint Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Eastern Michigan Symphony, and the Symphony Orchestra of Leon. I have been playing violin, viola, and piano for over 15 years. I began teaching as an assistant for CIM's Preparatory Orchestra Department, a position I held for four years while earning my Bachelors. As part of my minor, I also spent one year student teaching for CIM's Preparatory Eurhythmics Department and as a tutor for the conservatory. I moved to Tennessee in the fall of 2017 to earn my graduate degree as a Teaching Assistant for the school of music at UT, where I had the opportunity to teach private lessons and group classes to undergraduate viola majors and minors. I have an associate degree in the arts, with emphasis in music. All throughout high school I studied, piano, voice and violin. I began private teaching on the violin when I was 16 years old and it was then, that I realized what a privilege it was to teach and watch my young summer students excel and then play in the youth orchestra at the end of the summer.
