I believe in the "one thing" lesson. If a student can improve on just one thing in a lesson than that lesson was successful. My past students would probably say I am overall a nice guy but incredibly picky when it comes to perfecting a piece and hold each of my students to a very high standard. My teaching experience dates back to 2013, where I first began tutoring local junior high students for the summer band program. I have been teaching private lessons and studying how to be a better educator ever since. My private home studio has been running for over 3 years now. I began teaching privately in 2006 after I graduated from college. I began teaching in my church in New York, to beginner students between the ages of 8 and 15. I continued teaching until 2010, when I began my Master's Degree. I found that by finding out similar interests between myself and the students outside of classical music made it enjoyable for them.
