I studied under Dr. Ernest Salem at Cal State Fullerton and received various master class from members of Talich Quartet, Mary Straub, Wei-Wei Lu, and most notably James Buswell. My former teacher, Andrea Byers, studied with world renown, Ivan Galamian. I received my bachelor's with an emphasis in music education. After completing my undergrad, I was accepted to the Bob Cole Conservatory at California State University of Long Beach on scholarship, and studied violin performance. Read More

I'm a film director and writer, a recent graduate in pursuit of a goal. I'm the first student from my undergrad institution (Montana State University) to attend the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory in over 30 years. Though a writer/director, my first passion in life was music. I've played music since I was 6 years old. It has taken me all over the country through fiddle competitions, festivals, jams, etc. Many of my fondest memories from childhood are centered on those days of traveling to and from festivals in places I had never heard of. My students at younger ages have passed auditions of prestigious music pre-college programs as well as school-region youth orchestra programs; college-age students have won scholarships at their colleges for music minors and double-majors.
