I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2015 and 2017, I graduated from Peter King College of Music and Muson School of Music with Associate degrees in Saxophone and Piano Performance. I am current in my final semester for grad studies in Jazz and Contemporary Music at Longy School of Music, Cambridge MA. The method of teaching is as follows: 1) assess where the student is in music and in life, 2) ask about goals in music, 3) formulate objective to reach those goals, 4) rethink things when needed (students aren't cookies, so I can't use a cookie cutter). I do focus on things in order though. If you don't know your fundamentals, then that's where we start no matter what. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. Anywhere my lessons take place is a "shame free zone" where students should never be afraid to make mistakes and learn at their own pace.
