As a young musician, I received an opportunity to perform with my former orchestra teacher Ken Lattimore, who is now a member of country and western group Sons of the Pioneers. In my musical career, Mr. Jackson has performed with the Marshall Symphony, Orchestra of the Pines, the SFA Chamber Orchestra and the Mu Xi Chapter Men’s Chorus of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. At KIPP Houston Public Schools, my students have been featured performers at the Muscular Dystrophy Association Annual Muscle Walk, Downtown Houston’s House of Blues, the 2014 KIPP Gala, and with Mark Wood (co-founder of world famous Trans-Siberian Orchestra) in a combined Electrify Your Strings concert including KIPP Sharp Orchestra, KIPP Sharpstown Orchestra and Choir, and YES Prep Orchestra. I am a recent graduate from the University of North Texas where I obtained a masters degree in organ performance. I am currently a church organist and have been playing the organ since the age of 16 and piano since the age of 12. I have had many performance opportunities both as a pianist and as an organist performing as a soloist and as a collaborator. I made the TMEA All-State Jazz Band senior year of high school on the Tenor Saxophone. Afterwards, I continued my journey at the collegiate level, beginning to offer private lessons of my own and further honing my skills with various teachers of mine. I am now a Texas Retired Elementary School Teacher. I taught elementary for 27 years. During this time I have taught piano part time at a music store studio and currently at my own home studio. I received my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Specialization in Music from UTSA(San Antonio) . It brings me a lot of joy to share my love of music with my piano students.
