I decided to major in music in college, and I graduated with my B.M. in 2018. Around the age of 15, after about five years of performing, I started teaching guitar lessons to kids around my community and discovered a love for sharing my musical knowledge with others. When I went on to college, I continued teaching individual students and in my sophomore year joined a volunteer teaching group called SLAM! Through this twelve-week program, I had the opportunity to lead a group class of fifteen underprivileged middle schoolers with little to no musical experience. Read More

For stringed instruments, I uses the Suzuki method for teaching the basic repertory of the instruments. This method is an ear training method in which the student plays by ear. It starts out very simple so students of all ages can learn and progress very quickly. I enjoy watching my students grow as much as I enjoy finding new ways of growing and learning myself. I am often most inspired by the raw and vulnerable, simple and yet hear-wrenching melodies I come across.
