Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. For beginning students, the Faber Faber series or the Alfred series are recommended as a core repertoire. A Dozen A Day is recommended for daily warm-ups and I also provide the students with supplementary songs and books of their choice, such as Disney, pop, jazz and popular classical pieces transcribed for beginner piano. Beginner Adult cellists: I give adults the option of starting off in Essential Elements or moving at a faster pace with the Suzuki books. After learning the fundamentals of playing, I then tailor the lessons to the students individual needs or tastes. Beginner children pianists: I like using the Piano Adventures series with this group. For the beginner, I would start the child on the Alfred Series Level 1. Children 5 - 7 would have the Mozart series from Level 1-4. older children would be studying Alfred Piano Lesson 1, Solo 1, Theory 1, Hymns 1 and Technic 1. As they move forward, they would advance to the next level upon completion of the previous level. They would be introduced to Repertoire, Recital and Praise Hymns.
