I began teaching in 2012 when I was awarded the Graduate Assistant position at Western Michigan University. As a G.A., I was responsible for teaching non-music majors saxophone lessons, theory and ear-training, as well as coaching ensembles. I also taught flute and clarinet at Paramount Charter Academy in Kalamazoo, Michigan to middle school students. For age 0-4, I have opened Zumbini program for those babies and their caregivers. My piano lessons start at age 4. For those beginner students, I use Piano Adventures from Faber and Faber, typically focused on lesson books, performance books and theory books. When students move on to the higher levels, I will start to introduce easy classical repertoire, such as J.S. Bach or Bergermuller. An active orchestral musician, she has played under conductors like Kurt Masur, Eric Jacobsen, JoAnn Falletta, Alondra De La Parra, and George Manahan and worked with musicians including Sir James Galway, Robert Langevin, Carol Wincenc, Paula Robison, David Krakauer, and Charles Neidich.
