I began teaching music lessons at Lewis Music in downtown Kissimmee, Florida in 2004. In the years that have followed I have had students from 5-90 years old and from every background imaginable. Each student is unique so I have learned to adapt to each students goals and preferences. I am a passionate music teacher with a focus on student success. I graduated from California State University, Sacramento in 2018 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. I have taught music in one-on-one lessons and classroom settings with many different age students. I have been playing trombone for 15 years and love teaching it to beginners and experienced players. Typically, I first like to have the student play something they want to play for me - anything they know or like to play! From here, I can take that information and use it to form a plan and we can address fundamentals or skills that need to be worked on. I firmly believe that fundamentals are incredibly important to playing the instrument at the highest level.
