While I have a general curriculum, I am very flexible and try to adjust to my every student individually. Generally I like to employ books by Suzuki, as I find them very methodical, as well as easily accessible. I supplement the Suzuki books by Alwin Schroeder's 170 foundation studies, and lots of scales and technical exercises. I encourage active listening and work with a student to build confidence performing. I'm very passionate about teaching and love to work with all ages of students. I had a studio in Mountain Top, PA for 25 years until our family moved to Utah. I recently relocated to the Lehigh Valley. I've performed with many orchestras and have coached many students to be able to compete and perform at Carnegie Hall for many years. I am a violinist and string teacher originally from Augusta, Georgia. I've lived in Atlanta, Ga and Chattanooga, TN, and currently reside in Pittsburgh, Pa. As far back as I can remember, music has always been a huge part of my life, starting with my first exposure to music through records and the radio.
