I have played in venues from small coffee houses to The Paramount in Huntington, NY.  I have played in many groups and ensembles as a premier performer and, of course, as part of the "tutti".  I have studied under Micheal Bellajonas at Suffolk County Community College and Jerry Willard at Stony Brook University in my classical guitar studies.  I maintain a violin/guitar duet with my wife, who is on her way to becoming a music educator.  I've taught all different types of students and am very open and patient to everyone's needs. I like for my students to develop a passion for music by showing them what can be accomplished with a little hard work and discipline. My method includes teaching them the fundamentals of music, such as reading, harmony, theory, and songwriting, while at the same time showing them how to play their favorite music while applying these fundamentals. If a student is just starting out, we go over the parts of the instrument, how to hold and make a sound with the instrument. We start with simple songs that only have a few notes. We learn easy song after song and learn the notes along the way. once the student has enough skill on the instrument I start to have the student pick songs they want to learn. Read More

The lesson is really up to the student. i can show them the fundememntals if asked but i much prefer to guage what the student already knows and teach them whatever area theyre interested in. my lessons are never overbearing or rushed and the student is given as much time as they need per lesson to grasp and utilise a concept. my job really isto tailor mylessons for the students enjoyment and progress;and i love seeing the progress!! I have been a player, performer, and student of the guitar for over 35 years. Growing up in Western Massachusetts, I began learning a solid classic rock/pop base of guitar music (along with the obligatory heavy metal years as a teen, and playing in garage bands), taking lessons in school and privately.
