I am a believer in making music fun at all times, especially with young kids. If the guitar is not fun, and instead becomes a chore, students are less likely to practice and in time give up the instrument altogether. While still focusing on correct technique, music reading and theory, I add these elements in a way that is fun and intuitive, making progress easier. I like to use songs that the student likes as study materials, making the student learn valuable techniques and concepts while rocking out to their favorite tunes. Read More

No matter what the ability level and age, I try to find out what music the student is interested in. I do not teach from prefabricated books but rather teach songs to students and within those songs there are lessons. I have devised my own teaching methods which have been highly successful. For younger students, teaching traditionally can be extremely tedious and they can lose interest fast. I teach songs to my students and I find lessons within the songs. Read More

In my opinion, love and art are the most beautiful human expressions and both of them merge in music. The music theory and technique are really important to achieve our musical goals, however, the most important thing is to have something to say and understand that music is a vehicle to express something beyond words. I teach my students to enjoy music and life through music and their instruments so they can be not just better musicians but good human beings. Read More

I'm fairly flexible, laid back in my teaching style, and always passionate about helping those who need it. I always try to keep each student learning at least one new thing for each lesson, while allowing him or her to make steady and consistent progress without getting stuck in a rut. I always encourage steady and consistent practice throughout the week to further individual progress and get closer to desired results. Read More

I like to combine Technique and Theory with hands on application into songs. I start by doing an analysis of the level of theory and the proficiency of playing of the student. Then, I create a path of Theory = Practical learning to do. In theory, we analyze how music works before we touch the instrument. Then, we go on to learn technique on the instrument and learn song adapted to the students taste of music In this part, we also apply our theory knowledge onto what we play. Read More

I am a music instructor, and professional guitarist/perfomer/songwriter based out of New Jersey. I have been teaching professionally since 2006. My goal is to teach to the students needs, and allow them to get whatever they hope to get out of music, be it competence on an instrument, performing, improvisation, reading music, understanding theory...whatever their journey entails. I also put together performance opportunities for my students twice a year. Read More

Jason is an acclaimed professional guitarist, singer and songwriter who also teaches privately in Nassau County, Long Island, NY. Jason was a student of famed NYC guitarist and current Berklee school of music professor, Dave "Fuze" Fiuczynski, after first beginning his own guitar playing journey as a 10-year-old conservatory student on the south shore of Long Island. In addition to writing and performing full time, Jason has been teaching professionally for over 10 years and, in that time, has maintained a consistent student base of 25-30 students at a time, guys and girls, men and women, ranging in ages from 10 to 75.
