My earliest memories are of Mom playing the piano, Dad drumming, and me dancing all over the living room. I like to start with having the student or their parent fill out an information sheet that will inform me of their experience and musical interests. After gathering that information I like to start with the vocal anatomy, posture, and breathing. I then like to focus on having the student watch a video that shows those things so that they can make an auditory and visual connection.
